a Ni-Co-X alloy, is the latest development of the high
quality Mettex coatings.
It is a US patent pending technology mainly used to
replace chromium plating. Mettex 6's hardness, wear rate and friction coefficient, surface roughness, throwing power, covering power, current efficiency and deposition rate are all significantly better than those of chromium. Mettex 6's application is simpler, safer and more economical than chromium plating as well. Moreover, the direct mterial cost of Mettex 6 is $0.0632/um-ft2 ($0.0068/um-dm2), which is 60% less than that of chromium. |
